One goal of the Turame partnership is to equip Burundians with the capabilities and knowledge necessary for sustaining Turame as a microfinance institution. Mentoring Teams from Mars Hill will be paired with Management Teams in Burundi, assisting our Turame counterparts with training and capacity building.
Mars Hill Mentoring Teams
Mars Hill volunteers, grouped by expertise and skills relating to the Turame operation, will assist and train Burundian counterparts in order to build Turame's local capacity and sustainability.
These teams will interact as needed or desired through email and phone calls as well as annual trips by a designated leader.
Turame Management Teams
Burundians employed by Turame receive guidance and training in microfinance operations and systems in order to become a sustainable, independent bank that continues providing support, mentorship and administration to qualifying microentrepreneurs.
