Build #5 - Habitat For Humanity

In the summer of 2008, the Mars Hill housing initiative is taking on its biggest challenge yet: we're building four homes in just nine weeks. Partnering for the fifth time with Habitat for Humanity, we'll be working together from July to September to complete construction on a quad-plex [four homes in one] located on Dawes Court in the southeast corner of Grand Rapids. It's going to take teams and teams of us—over 1500 volunteer shifts total—to finish this blitz project so the homes can welcome local families, and we're inviting you to join us on the work site.

You can help by supplying snacks, offering first aid, providing hospitality for volunteers, painting walls, pounding nails, or any number of other volunteer opportunities. No construction experience is necessary to fill a construction shift—we'll teach you what you need to know on the day you serve.
