God wants us to manage our money and resources well. If you are in financial crisis or if you just want to learn how to budget - no matter what your situation is - there is help available.
When we begin to be free from financial issues, we are able to focus our time, talents and money on joining God in restoring the world. Learning, breaking bad habits, and growing a generous heart takes time. But you don't have to go on this long journey alone.
Financial mentorship
If you would like some guidance during a time of financial stress, please consider connecting with a Community Care financial mentor. Mentors are trained people from our MH community who understand that learning happens best in relationship. They are committed to coming alongside people for an extended period of time to offer encouragement, support, and guidance as you learn how to manage your resources well. Meetings are confidential. To get connected, contact Mara Damstra at 406.3927 or mdamstra@marshill.org.
Financial Mentor trainings are held 3-4 times per year. If you are interested in becoming a mentor to someone in need of financial guidance, please email Michelle Wybenga at mwybenga@marshill.org.
Financial Peace University
Journey with a group of people through Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University program. The class focuses on learning sound financial principles that will free people from a life of worry, debt, and stress. By following this program, many people have been able to pay off debt, stabilize their household, and plan for a better financial future. Classes are held 2 or 3 times per year and vary in size. Please contact mdamstra@marshill.org for class availability.
