Counseling

If you're dealing with doubts, grief, anxiety, depression, disappointment or lonelines, talking with another person can help you find truth, direction and healing. Everybody needs help at some point in their lives.

Pain is like water. It runs down where the floor is uneven and finds the lowest spot. The longer it sits there unattended, the more damage it does to the floor. And if left completely to its own, the water will find a crack or a crevice in the floor and move again to the next lowest spot that it can find. The initial problem was that the sink in the bathroom was leaking, but suddenly the basement walls are rotting out.

In the same way, traumatic things happen to people, but when we don't face the problem, that doesn't mean it goes away. It goes somewhere. Jesus was someone who was willing to face pain and trust that, on the other side, God offers us something better. When we embrace the painful things that have happened, we have faith that God will put us back together and redeem our pain.

At Mars Hill

While Mars Hill doesn't provide professional counseling, we do offer opportunities for you to share your story with a trained individual or with a support group. We would be honored to sit with you to discern your best next step. whether it be a licensed individual counselor, or a healing group opportunity here at the church, a Pastor is available to listen, honor your story and help begin your healing journey.

Retelling

This 12-week healing community is a place for you to tell your story and identify themes that have shaped your identity and beliefs.
